Hi Everyone,
We are printing with a HP L26500 latex printer onto Avery MPI 2920 vinyl. We are applying to various surfaces such as sintra, styrene, and laminate. We have been having issues in the past with our digis peeling from sintra. We thought we had the problem narrowed down to our solvent printer and over saturation but we no longer use our solvent printer, we use our new HP for our vinyl needs.
We are thinking that it is what we are using to clean our materials. We use plastic cleaner, (laquer for glue spots on certain things) and SLX Denatured alcohol. For the most part we use the alcohol because we determined the plastic cleaner might be leaving a film. We have never had trouble like this until the last 6 months.... Is there something else we should clean our stuff of with? I took a print right off the printer and tested the stickiness and it was more than sticky so I am not thinking its the vinyl, but hey anything is possible. We apply the vinyl by hand but push very hard when applying. Thoughts?
