Back Lit Design Help

Good Morning
I made this backlit sign a year ago (pic on top) The customer loves it and wants a bigger one for another location. When driving by, you cannot read the copy very well, and want to improve the signs readability. What do you think about the bottom pic? Or do you have any other suggestions?
