If my dampners are bad on a Roland VP540I will it cause my printer not to print? If I do a power clean and remove my drain bottle there is no ink draining in it.

Check to see if the capping station has lots of ink left in it after head cleaning, if so... your waste lines clogged...

It could be the dampers, but first of all I would check the cap tops ( putting a syringe on the tubes and pull). its easy to check this way if the tubes are clogged or the rubber at the cap tops don'g close correctly anymore.
