Having issues with head strikes on banner material on the s30. I've raised the platten gap as high as it can go and turned the heater down to 30/30/30 and still have the same result. It seems the issue is caused by puckering at the rollers which is causing the material to rise up to the head as it passes back and forth. I haven't tried turning the heaters off all together as I'm worried about the ink not drying in time before it gets to the take up roller. I've used two seperate banner brand materials or varying thicknesses 13oz and 6oz and both have the same issue. Is anybody killing their heater altogether on banner materials? wondering if off/off/30 might be a better solution so the material stays cool until it his the post heater?
