Anyone have an idea? I have reformatted my machine about 3 times and I keep getting it back. I dont look at porn. I dont go to warez sites. I make signs all day. What's the deal!

Any suggestions?

I use AVGFREE for antivirus,

and if I happen to become infected with some spyware or a virus I use COMBOFIX and it wipes it out instantly !

That's just me though . . .

I neither endorse nor recommend any product as being the best or safe to use for you and your situation !

You can find both products by doing a google search : http://www.google.com/

The reason I asked because all the links I found using your suggested link, google led me to sites not endoresed by the product. I ended up finding it, but thanks for not answering my question as to a direct link to the product. Thank you though for suggesting the product. It's removed everythign I needed and smooth sailing! Back to making signs!

I use AVG...upgraded to the real AVG...and it does a very good job.
Why do you say combofix is spam?
Thanks.

The website. The actual combofix works excellent. The link is to another site that is not affiliated... It even has a disclaimer when you run combofix that combofix.org is not part of their deal.

Ya , Rep...I downloaded the zip file for combofix..quite a while ago when you suggested that. I have yet to use it..People need to read the instructions before opening it.
Ie: dont use it unless you have to.
Thanks for that.

I've tried several but I kept hearing raves by geeks about eset's NOD32 program. Took it for a test drive and liked some of what I saw, even though the install didn't go as easy as it should have.

Ended up buying Eset's security suite and I've been using it for over a year now. I have to say, it's one of the least intrusive of all the programs I have ever used. It does an excellent job and doesn't seem to take over the computer to get the job done.

I'd have to say it's the best program of it's kind I've ever used.

eset.com. They have free trials if you're interested. Do some research on it and see how it rates.

I tried combofix and malwarebytes found 12 more things, so I am not sure about it being as good or as bad as combofix. i think a combo of both works great.

I use Windows Live OneCare. We have our DSL through Qwest and as a result we are able to get it free. I used to use AVG (free version); OneCare not only protects my computers, but also tunes them up and has a backup and restore function as well. Since I started using OneCare I have had zero problems. Check it out.
