Best Material for Helmets

What do you guys suggest as far as type of vinyl to use if I am going to be making helmet decals for hockey and football? Past ones I have seen, it seems they are using a thicker mil material than what I am using right now for general signage (Oracal 3165ra). I have a Roland SP300 and can laminate as well.

Any suggestions of type of vinyl that will withstand a little abuse on the ice/field?
