black letters on a backlit sign

have a quick question, If I have just a rectangle shape backlit sign and I am putting black text on the white acrylic sign, should I use a black vinyl that is translucent or just the regular solid black, or does it not matter cuz its just black on white

some ppl say just use regular, I always use xlucent unless it's supposed to be on-the-cheap...

I would just use black.

It depends....black only we sometimes use regular black vinyl.....if there are other colors we use translucent for everything including the black so the finish is the same.

ditto when the sign can be seen up close as the translucent are a matte finish.
