Black Lines - Illustrator into VersaWorks

We are getting black lines on prints coming out of VersaWorks.
Happens in both pixel and straight vector generated art out of Illustrator.

I am led to believe this is not an uncommon thing.

What is this?
How does it go away?

Could be a cable not seated properly or an encoder strip. Are you under warranty or have a dealer you work with?

Brand new machine. I did call Roland Tech. Got some suggestions ... rasterize art in Illustrator, use perceptual color matching properties in VersaWorks as possibilities.

Looking to see if anyone has definite experience with a "smoking gun" cause / fix.

I was wondering what your "Clip and Tile " settings are in Versaworks. If you check "number of tiles"=1, does that help?

We are printing oversized circus novelty sized money for exhibit going into Federal Reserve Bank.

Tiles are always 1.
