Black on Illustrator Files

I have an issue, whenever i import or open a file in flexi 8.5 from Adobe Illustrator black prints out almost gray it seems to be 4 color process black any quick fix to get true black instead. I'm really tired of selecting and changing. I have alot of designers who send me ready to print file but I constantly have to go in and waste time... :banghead:
