Need Help bn20 - Crop marks not detected?

Hi everyone, me again..

Having issues of crop marks not being detected, even the first one will not register.

I've left extra material, I've lined it up with the cut strip and it's just not biting. it'll go back and forth as if it's trying to find it, then nothing.

Also tried more lighting towards it, laminated, unlaminated etc..

This could be user error due to the media being reinserted into the printer slightly incorrectly.

Perhaps before printing draw on the media to mark where the left and right guides are, this should ensure your media is in the correct position along both axis.

Alternatively make sure the cut carriage blade, and in turn the optical eye are aligned over the registration marks as this may be slightly different to how you are currently positioning the media.

In theory, I think in Versaworks you could set the job to print and cut but still include the crop marks. I think this will then print the job, scan the marks and then cut without having to remove and reposition the media in the machine.

If none of this works, do as Dweavers suggested and recalibrate.

Where is the optical eye? Do you have a underside photo at all, curious if there's any dust etc covering it as well just in case.

I also did a print and cut with registration marks by accident, so the sheet didn't leave the machine but it still couldn't find the marks.
