Need Help BN20 printhead

Hi guys
For the past week I've had an overspray problem that only affects the black nozzle. During the testprint, several nozzles were missing, as you can see from the photo.

Printhead surface seems clean.
I already tried, headsoak, cleaning, vinyl change etc. show no sign of improvement.
Captop felt and wiper are pretty new (less than 6 month) so I guess I'll have to change the printhead and as its our main printer ATM i have to do it asap.

On the bn20 I suppose you need the service software but its use is protected by a code (thanks Roland ...)
So I'm looking for a patched version of the service software. I've seen it around a few times but the download links are all dead.

Not cost effective to replace the printhead.
If you dealer still sells the BN-20A (CMKY only) get that.
Or the newer BN2-20A,
Unless you need white or metallic.

1 6k€ vs 5k€ , the difference in price between a new head and a new machine is still significant, and not interesting from our point of view.

Does that 1.6K include the tech coming in to install it, unless you have the cracked version to access the service menu, you won't be able to change the head yourself, as well as you need to be handy and careful, as that machine has the one head and it can be easier to destroy it if you aren't careful during the replacement process. I think what the other person was saying is that with the tech coming in and all the extra cost, it would end up most likely being close to the price of a new machine.

Yes, you're right, if I'd called in a technician, the bill would easily have been double (I suppose). For my part, I did find the patch to crack the service software. I must admit I'm amazed that on a machine of this type, Roland would lock access to essential functions. I've even seen several people on youtube (

) have reported changing the head without even entering the rank information in the service menu (which personally I wouldn't venture to do).

Yes i will change dampers also, thanks for the advice. By the way, I see that on the video, the person lets the machine fill the dampers, but I've seen several people who fill the dampers with a syringe (to avoid bubbles?) what would be your advice on this point?

For filling the dampers, I've done it both ways. I do tend to try to let the printer do it first, if it's not really working then I'll do the syringe, as it does put pressure on the head when you pull, so if I can avoid that, I tend to.
