Book/Video Suggestions and reviews on the "Vinyl Sign Techniques" Book by Jim Hingst

Can anyone that has read the book "Vinyl Sign Techniques" by Jim Hingst recommend it? It's $40 even from Amazon so I'm a little hesitent to buy it. According to the description it contains articles from 54 "Vinyl Graphics" columns in Sign of the Times magazine.
