Bought An Older Sj 540, Cannot Connect It To Pc

I bought a SJ 540 from an individual, and watched them print from their PC to the device. It worked great, but now I am trying to set the thing up, and I can't get it to be recognized on two separate systems. I have tried connecting via Ethernet cable, thru a switch, and via serial to USB cable....So far NO LUCK at all. I have wasatch softrip 7.2 and versaworks along with colorip 2.2... HELP?

download intercon net-tool, it should be able to find the printer, and you can assign it an IP address, subnet mask and gateway address so it'll work on your network.

I solved the issue by resetting the onboard Ethernet card in the printer. Plugged in the IP address and went to town.
