Suggestions Brainstorming for our company's new mascot?

Sign companies rarely have a mascot or recognizable branding, aside from a textmark (Signarama, Fast Signs, etc). Has anyone seen or heard of mascots/characters from a sign co, that served as the face of the company? I'm a cartoonist, and we've gone nationwide, so I'm itching to make up a character/group of characters.

Big fan of Kellogg's cereal line. Our vibe is bright color and fun -- there's a lot of laughter in the shop here. When customers walk in for pickup, they always mention that.

In the old days you could do something with a paintbrush or a man holding a paintbrush. Maybe a Pixelman?
