Cadet Full Solvent Ink

I have just brought a Cadet full solvent printer. I choose a Cadet over a Versacamm because we do a lot of wheel covers and wanted a harder wearing finish without the fuss of lamination. Has anyone here had any experance with this machine, I am looking at the different types of gloss vinyl that can be used for the best finish. I have used some 5-7year but it is only 80 microns and would prefer somthing a bit thicker for sticker work. I know that with solvent inks I can print onto standard vinyls but am being told for a better finish I should be looking at the specialist films. Also how well does it print onto clear for window graphics. Any advice would be gratefully recived:thumb:

First I hate to tell you this, but the solvent inks do not hold up that much better than the eco-solvent inks. Honestly both need to be laminated for automotive applications.

For thicker films I use Covex 8 mil. It seems to work pretty well for standard decals that do not use application tape, but the cost is much higher than standard printable vinyl. Also if you have had laminator you could just laminate your 2-3 mil vinyls and end up with about a 5 mil product that does not require application tape. It gives you that extra thickness.
