Calendared Murals not lining up

We print a lot of murals for many different clients on a calendared stock. Just this summer tile 3 or 4 of a 54" wide print will be 1/2" longer than the previous tile or shorter than the next tile. We've seen 1/16" difference for a year or 2 but not as much as 1/2" like now. And it's consecutive prints that can vary on the roll.

1) Do any of y'all experience this same issue w/ the L26500's?
2) Is there a quick fix?

Thanks

What material?

I suspect is due to the heat. We don't run latex machines, but it seems like whenever we print wall murals on one of our solvent machines, either on Phototex, Korographics, etc., we'll get a panel that's shorter or longer somewhere in the mix. We've switched to running all wall media on our UV printer and have never had a mis-matched panel since, so I've come to the conclusion that the heat from the solvent printers causes some sort of media stretch. And since Latex uses significantly more heat than solvent, I'd expect that to be exaggerated more.

But that's just my hunch, could also be a glitch in the RIP I suppose?
