Canon ipf8400s roll issue

I'm having an issue with the roll holder. I was changing rolls and the spindle rolled off the table, breaking off part of the white gear part. I glued it back on, but now it's not working properly--it unrolls the roll completely, "edge not detected" "paper loaded crooked".

Anyone have suggestions? No problems for 2 years with this printer until now.

you will need a complete new shaft. you can order it from Canon. they dont sell just the bit that broke. it happens. level the table or tape a 1/2" wide strip of 1/4" PVC with bannertape the the table edge to keep things from rolling off.
