Cast Plaque Proof

Hi all!

I am working on a design proof for a client where they want a bas relief plaque. Does anyone know a way to replicate this effect in Photoshop or Illustrator to give the customer a good idea of the final product? They have given me a high quality image of the person, but I'm not 100% sure how to go about making it look like the bas relief.

are you getting it produced through a vendor like Gemini or making in house? (Gemini will give you proofs)

Same - I used Google Gemini AI and uploaded this exact image you show + a normal-image-photo the client gave me of their honoree. Told the ai to "Use the photo "[person.jpg]" and create a version that makes it look like the bas relief style in "example bas relief photo.jpg" -- got a perfect result to download and insert in my mockup. I always feel dirty after using ai but there's no other easy way to do this so quickly/reliably for 1 item

Gemini will work up a terrific proof for you -- I only use ai to create that bas relief image when I need to create a mockup in advance to initially sell the concept to a client
