CE5000-60 Firmware Update Issues

Trying to update my CE5000-50 from v5.90 to v6.40 to fix the always syncing issues in Cut Master 3. Getting GP-GL Error1 on the cutter when trying to update. I've tried switching the connect back to HP-GL and back again to GP-GL, completed a factory reset, and even downloaded the firmware again.

Searched every forum possible, can't seem to find a fix. Reached out to Graphtec support two days ago and no response.

Windows 10
Cut Master 3 v2.2.1252
