Currently have a CE6000 and a Summa D75

The graphtec is now 10 years old a d throws random errors like the main board is dying.

ive never really been able to dial in the perf cutting on the summa and wondering if I should pickup a CE7000-60 or a FC series cutter instead.

been looking on YouTube for comparisons but coming up short.

what is the difference between the 2? I know the FC used to be the one with that did perf cutting but now I see the CE7000 does it too.

Is the FC worth the extra $1500 or so

thanks

The differance between the CE and FC is night and Day

Is an FC worth $1500 more? It is worth $3000 more

I had a CE 3000-120 I loved it, but at 9 years it bit the dust. Slap wore out.
My first cutter was an FC 2100-60 A. It still works as well as the day I bought it 30 years ago.
The FC7000 was problematic and the 8000 was a bit wimpy. 2 years and the FC 8600 came out.

The FC8600 is a war horse, but Only buy if New In Box. Dont buy these used.
However I was hooked up with a company that bought a Printer, Laminator and FC8600.
They litterally used it a few times and it sat for 3 years and I snapped it up for a great Price,
and been running the dog out it for 5 years now.

I did look at some CE 6000's but as the birdie says Cheap cheap cheap..
These are entry level low volume cutters.

The CE 7000 seems a bit of a step up in the world.

If you are printing and contour cutting, the FC 9000-140 or 54" is a very nice size cutter with a much
smaller foot print than the 64" or 160.
For printing vinyls I just buy 54" media. it is easier to load and transfer from one machine
to the next and 54" is always available. The 54 is a size that can move around the shop floor.
The - 160 is huge and it stay parked.

My shop is small and I cut about 3 rolls of 3m intermediate a month (SC50 Series)
and with the digital Prints. Lets just say that small of a volume keeps the cutter running.

Get the FC. 75 is aa versitile size, but get the 54 if you can.
If you ever need to run 48" Vinyl yeah the 54 is perfect for that.
If you add a new printer,,,,,, you are set.
Graphtec FC9000-140. You are getting what you pay for.

Thanks for the input! My shop is very small so it would have to be the 75 size.

I'll def look into this more now....
