Give Dave a chance. He's a busy guy and bear in mind he's the president of the company, not a salesperson, so he's not sitting at his desk waiting for customers to call in, he's running a company.
I will tell you this, we bought our CET having not seen one in person or even seen a print off of it. We did a lot of research and learned from many users that they are a company that absolutely stands behind their machines and will not abandon their users. I've known too many people in this industry who have purchased machines and had major problems, only to be told by the manufacturer "sorry, we can't help you".
In fact, a good customer of mine (they're also a competitor about a half-mile away) bought an Agfa about a year before we bought our CET. The last I heard, it was decommissioned and was sitting in the back of their warehouse because it was entirely inoperable and Agfa was never able to resolve their issues, and eventually told them to go pound sand. This is not a small company either, they are a $25+ million company, so Agfa had a lot to lose by not satisfying them. And their demands were not unreasonable, I saw their machine fail to print anything longer than 5' many times.
We've also been abandoned to the wolves by equipment manufacturers before, so the thing at the very top of our list was buying a machine from a company that wouldn't do that to us again.
At the end of the day, you can compare print speed, print quality, size, etc., and while there are some differences, sometimes significant differences, for the most part, they all print and do what they are supposed to do. Do not jump into this purchase being so naive to believe you won't have problems; every manufacturer has issues, hiccups and lemons. Don't get stuck with a company that won't be there to back you up when that happens.
And if you're wondering, our original CET was a lemon and cost us a lot of money and downtime. Had I bought an Agfa or HP or Oce, they may have taken care of me, they may not have. But I bought a CET because I knew they would, and they did just that and then some. Despite having an unpleasant and frankly painful experience with the machine, they never left our side, spent a small fortune of their money to keep it running, and made sure we were made whole again.
