Changing subtank jfx200

Hi. I am changing a subtank on a jfx200. Do I just discharge in engineer mode, remove all lines and sensors, does it then just pull out? And then is it just a case of pushinf new one in replacing lines and refill? Also I notice the subtank has 2 tubes coming from the bottom with valves on the end should these just always remain closed? Thanks

You've got it about right. There are two Allen screws on each side of the subtank that hold it on. You need to take those out first and then it just pulls off. Those extra tubes coming out of the bottom are only used if you have white for the circulation system. If it's the CMYK subtank you're changing, they should always be closed.

- Work with the printer turned off AND unplugged to avoid electrical damage.
- Visually verify that the subtank is empty before removing it and run another discharge if needed.
- The sensors and tubes are all labeled but it's a good idea to take a picture or 2 before taking it all apart for reference.
- If you need more light to see things, don't use a normal flashlight or your phone. Use a piece of the yellow plastic that came with the printer to filter the light first. An unfiltered light source can cure ink and cause issues.

Thank you so much for your help, I did notice the 2 allen keys, thank you. I also have the same thing with my EX version of the Jfx. Although they are different with the connectors etx, does it follow the same principle, is there anything else I need to look out for with that one. Thanks again

They're essentially the same in function. Just note that, if you have primer as one of the channels, it requires a special subtank.
