Hi guys.. New to the sign industry and trying to gain a greater command of the craft. My Mamaki print cut is cutting about .5-1" off on about a 50/50 basis. Sometimes it works with tolerable results but more often than not it is unacceptably off. I create my cut contours as mamaki recommends in illustrator creating my offset cutpath then export as an eps to Wasatch softrip. When it loads into the preview sometimes it is bang on, and sometimes it is noticeably off with regards to alignment of the cutline to the artwork. When I go to feed my media back through I align the media best I can (red light scan method, thanks guys) so I know its straight. I send the file through and it will register all 4 cut marks (mamaki .5in or 1in) proceed to the origin and begin to cut... only its 1in off of alignment consistently to the left (looking at the print). Can anyone PLEASE shed some light on this? I am sure it may be user error but I feel I am doing everything right. Like I said sometimes you can see it in softrip but I know the original files are lined up correctly... Beer and wings on me for any solution to this problem, because my head hurts and the wall is starting to crack. Sorry for the long post wanted to be specific as I could. Thanks guys in advance
