Cleaning JV33 printhead...solvent quirting back out different channel.

Hi All,

I am using a syringe and solvent to try and recover my JV33 printhead.

While I am having success clearing nozzle on some ink channels the solvent squirts back out a different colour port on the manifold.

Is the manifold lose...is the printhead impressively broken?

All thought welcomed.

This head is surly broken, you have to get a new one.

Yup, you've definitely ruptured something inside the head. I would strongly advise against powering the printer on with this head installed as it's quite likely that the cleaning fluid has leaked onto the circuitry as well.

May not help you as you're in the UK but we have genuine heads (with the green connector) for JV33/JV5 etc way below OEM cost.
