The only reason I use 8518 is when other laminates are out of stock. I've only gone through maybe 4 rolls of this material but every roll has had the cloudy splotches.

We ended up having around 75' feet of crap 8518 over a couple of rolls. Send a full report to our dealer and they sent it to 3M and they credited us the value of a full roll.
If you're getting defective material, bring it to your dealer's attention and they hopefully should look after you.
