cnc or pipe dream?

Sorry for my ignorance....I'm looking for what I would call a finisher. Something that can cut contours out of pvc, coroplast, stuff like that which have a finished vinyl digital print on them. Is this the function of a cnc router or am I looking at/for something else?

I do that on my Shopbot for a couple of sign companies. Just have to have register marks in 2 corners to get it lined up
