Color correction?

What exactly does this do? ive printed with color correction and without, and i dont see a difference. except it takes away the output selection if i uncheck it. anyone with experience with this? i dont want to mess up any large orders.

Clearing the 'Color Correction' check box turns off the ICC profile component of your color management media setup. It may offer a larger color gamut, but at the cost of less color accuracy in your printed output.
