Need Help Converting X-Rite color library .CXF to adobe .ASE

I've been searching for a way to do this, and I keep coming to the same answer. It requires a third-part software. However, I don't want to purchase software just to convert one file. Does anyone know a free way to do this? I have a library of some custom colors that I created in the eXact2Suite using my eXact2 device to scan paint chips. Now I want to turn that into an adobe color book or CC library that I can use in illustrator.

I'm thinking CXF is an open standard under ISO now. If I'm correct, it may actually open up directly in something like a text editor. Now how it stores color information may determine what is able to be done from there getting it into the ASE format. But I'm speculating here though.

If it has it in a different markup say how a .ase palette file would have it, parsing it for ASE may be what gets you and is probably why only have paid for 3rd party options.
