Corel x5 and windows 8 compatable?

I just got my new laptop in, and I am working on getting it set up. I am trying to install Corel X5, and it keeps giving me a compatibility errors.

Anyone install X5 on win 8? Tips or tricks I need to know about?

Same here, was told directly by Corel that it is definitely not compatible.
They did offer a discount to upgrade.

I have 2 computers including a surface pro with X5 on it. It gives errors but switch the compatibility to XP and it runs fine for me.

X7 is worth the upgrade though!
