Credit Card Terminal

We use QuickBooks online for our billing and I've currently been manually entering credit card info for walk in customers.

What recommendations would you all have for a CC scanner/reader that works well for QuickBooks? It doesn't have to be mobile, I just want to keep it at my desk which is right at our entrance and scan for payments when customers come in.

Thanks!

Get the device Quickbooks provides. They should have sent you one when you signed up to do credit cards in Quickbooks. It small and plugs into a USB port. It can read chip cards or magnetic strips.

I just took a look. They have a new one that also does NFC. But it's $49. From your Merchant Center Dashboard click the "Order Card Reader" link.

The amazon cheapie usb readers work very well too. Just make sure to get a dual sided. The QB version works fine as well. We had their chip reader a while back and it was terrible but I think the new version is better.

Thanks! I was looking at QuickBooks card reader but it seemed mostly for mobile functions. I'll check it out again.
