Cut Contour Path question

Easy way to generate cut paths around a group of objects in Illustrator?

Mimaki's plugin has a great tool called frame extraction, but do not own the plugin. I have attached the comparison of offset path vs. frame extraction which is what I want.

Any ideas?

After offsetting the paths, select the outlines and click the "Unite" button in the Pathfinder palette. This will create one continuous shape.
