Cut contour transfer

I designed some text and artwork on my laptop and created strokes to be my cutline and saved it to a pen drive. when I open it up on my desktop and turn the strokes into the versaworks cut line in Illustrator it does not give me a cut line when I import it to Versaworks. Has anyone had this happen to them? I do not have the Versaworks cut line on my laptop.
