Cut force with Roland VP-540 and Onyx

Using Onyx Thrive v24 and cutting on a Roland VP-540. When I send the print back through via CutServer, the force defaults to 60g. No matter what I set it to in Onyx, even setting to use the machine defaults, it always goes back to 60gf. Even the cut speed goes back to 30cm/s. Up speed does not change, whatever I set it to, that stays as it should. The only workaround I have found is to set the up speed very slow, and as soon as the VP starts cutting, I change the force to what it needs to do while it's cutting. The only problem with this is the 1st object cut, defaults to 60gf, the rest of the objects will cut at the specified force.

I've used the Roland VersaCAMM driver and the XC driver (recommended by Onyx tech support) in setting up the VP-540, neither makes a difference. Tech support has escalated to engineering, so who knows when it could get fixed, but this is a big part of our workflow and it is incredibly aggravating. Anyone have any other suggestions?

We're having the same issue at the moment. The workaround that I've found for the moment is to change the Default setting to be whatever I need the pressure to be for that particular print. Kind of clunky but it's working for now. Working with ONYX to try and figure out the issue because it seems that it may be their issue and not the cut file or cutter.

Go into your Cutting Menu and look for the setting called, Cutting Prior. Make sure it's set to , Command. That will tell the machine to always listen to the RIP instead of it's internal settings.
