Is it possible to use Gerber Omega to output to a Roland plotter?
We presently have Omega 2.6 to output to an Edge LE and an Envision 375 plotter. We also have a wide format Roland printer/cutter (that we no longer print from) that we output to using Roland ColorRIP, a short lived program that came with the machine and is loaded on a separate PC. And a low mileage Edge II that we can't currently use because we don't have an ECP port.
Both PC's are ancient and we'd like to upgrade to a single PC. We are planning to use a pretty high end iMac that's not being used and add Parallels and Windows 7 Professional as the OS. We're willing to upgrade to Omega 5.0 if necessary and would love to drive both plotters from a single program. Right now if we switch from 15" to wider vinyl we have to return to the design stations to change the file to a format usable by Roland. It's a real pain.
