Cutting Master 2 and VE Q series

Is it possible to get the Vinyl Express Q160 series plotters(essentially a FC7000) to work with Cutting Master 2 software?

I've installed CM2 and the driver for the Q160 and also for the FC-7000 to try and trick CM2, but get a Graphtec port not available error/error opening port. I'm using Win Xp.

I don't think it will work through USB since the firmware and main board on these 2 units is different. If you go w/ Serial connection is should work for you. Try a serial cable from Graphtec.
