"Cutting Matt"

I'm looking to get a new cutting matt, but not the real ones. We currently have tables that have some type of plastic. It is 3/16" thick, and we've been using them as matts for over 8 years. I would like to get the same stuff, but not sure what it is. Anyone else using some other type of plastic for a cutting matt?

Fake ones - HDPE. £40 - 50 for 8x4' 5mm. Most substrate suppliers can supply - tack it onto the end of your regular sheet good order. Over the years you'll go through double and then some the cost/ammount of blades to trim work out.

What you're using now, if it resembles plastic, it's probably a sheet of polycarbonate.
They actually work pretty good, come in a variety of thickness, clear, white, etc... Used to use them because we stocked sheets for sign faces, but I went back to the regular cutting mats again. You can get polycarb sheets from most sign supply vendors.
