Cutting MX vinyl on my plotter, not printer=how?

Hi guys

We have a summa t140 and a roland VP-540.
We do all our printing on our Roland of course but would really love to be able to cut our Motocross graphics on the Summa cut t140. But it seems that the Vinyl + laminate is just too thick? so i scrathes the surface of the laminate. does anyone have a clue to what we could be doing wrong?

Its not that i dosent cut hard enough. The problem is that the blade is too low for the vinyl not to get scratched.
Same happens when we try and cut in 3M carbon vinyl.
