D120 OPOS Sensor Spring placement

Hello, just trying to do some contour cutting on a new to me D120, and I noticed this spring is just hanging there. I can move the sensor up and down freely and can't see any obvious hole or edge for it to hook into.
I'm about to take the head off to inspect, but thought seeking some guidance before I go tearing in there, is best

Well, I went ahead and pulled off the head - which allowed the sensor to drop all the way down, revealing the pinhole I figured I was after, and we're back in action
