Hi everyone
Has anyone got a video or instructions for damper change on jv100 160
I have got a little bit cyan mixing with yellow in test print and some magenta nozzles dropping out during print on print head 1

If you have mixing colors, could just be contamination on the wiper or possibly internal issues with the head. Not sure about a video, but dampers are just press-fit into the head. Just disconnect ink line, tug it out, then put in a new one and reconnect.

Thanks
That makes sense for mixed colours but already changed wiper, cap tops and capping station. Do you know that part number of the wiper cleaner as it doesn't seem to clean the top of wiper - not sure if thats what its meant to do but never really looked, i have only cleaned it when doing maintenance each week.

There's a membrane seal inside the head that, when it fails, lets colors cross contaminate. It's not a serviceable piece, only a head replacement will fix that.

It's not the only thing that can cause cross contamination, it can be common to get a little saturation from one channel to the next from being parked for a couple days. That's external only and should clear up with just a couple of test prints, or the first pass when it's printing. If it's constant, the head is probably the cause. What I would do is replace dampers, wiper, cap tops etc, you'll want all that new if you replace a head anyway, so I'd go ahead and do all that first, if it's anything but the head, that should fix it. If not, just get a new head.

Thanks for the info.
I have changed cap top and wiper. The damper was next on list. It seems to be starving (best way to discribe)for ink during print on M and maybe Y channel after 1-2 metres.
Is changing damper much the same as older machines just harder to get to?
Print mostly bi directional 8pass hi speed

Not much different in changing a damper on new versus old on these printers. Pretty basic stuff.

But yeah, ink starvation is definitely something I would consider a damper issue.

Awesome, thanks for letting us know. Helps folks in the present and the future.

Seriously, not sarcasm, as so few people follow up on fixes.
