dark print with tooo much ink

Hi everyone, new here-- not a computer wizard either-- my mutoh 1624x is decided to print everything very dark and laying down waaaay too much ink-- i have good nozzle check --where should i go from here?

Change that to something not called "High speed" and see what happens. Too dark/too much ink can be a result of a bunch of things.

Has the same file been printed before? What does the image look like? Have you successfully printed on this machine before? What kind of media are you actually printing on?

depending on ink, your RIP software and media type you should select right profile. most of the RIP software has default profile which usually ok. Then you can check media manufacturer website. Usually proper RIP allow to load icc and icm profiles and linearization files.

"no color correction" will do that. Switch to "use linearization only". No idea what it means but that should help.

Also check to make sure you aren't running in "DoubleStrike" mode. Agree with Racegrafix on turning "no color correction" off. No profile will do this as well. What RIP are you using? Go to Mutoh Public FTP site and download profiles to use with your RIP, especially if it's SAi Flexi...
