Designing a table out of foam core with glue, screws or nails

I've been designing some furniture for burning man this year and thought I would share some of it here.

Nice table. If I may ask, what software do you use to design stuff like this? I suppose you could do it all 2D and flat, but do you use special software that takes care of making sure everything fits together?

It is a neat design. I'm assuming you could make one out of baltic birch ply or something more durable than foam core.

Nice table. If I may ask, what software do you use to design stuff like this? I suppose you could do it all 2D and flat, but do you use special software that takes care of making sure everything fits together?

I just use illustrator, the 3d programs normally confuse and annoy me. I come up with a concept cut everything out then figure out quickly where the mistakes are and move on to Rev 2,3,4 etc.
