Quit buggin' me
I needed one a few months ago for my 1624. I sent out the bat signal to the company that sold me the printer and 2 other vendors. 2 had a few weeks delay to get them ordered in. Primier Colour did not have the OEM Mutoh branded head in stock, but he did have the Epson branded DX7 head. He assured me it was the same head and would work with the Mutoh firmware. He was able to send it out within a day with new dampers. The invoice was about $1K cheaper than the OEM head & dampers. Got it installed, printer is printing like new again. The head was labeled "Made in Japan", so I am optimistic it will keep printing until something else fails.

Heh, I see I mispelled it in my post, they are easy to find:
Premier Colour in Costa Mesa, California.
(might be bad form to post direct links to suppliers that are not merchant members here)
Good luck with getting your printer back up.
