Does anyone use ChatGPT to help with business and investing?

Someone was asked the question (maybe it was to Elon Musk? I can't remember) "what happens when we are all replaced by robots". They replied back something like "that's the goal, the robots do all the work and everyone just lives without needing money" - or something like that, maybe everyone gets a base wage.

I'm a very surprised we aren't closer to that point.

Ironically, people aren't mentally wired for that. Sure, some are lazy and just suckle and that would be good enough for them, but that isn't everyone. This whole, let the robots do the work (there is irony there) and people can pursue whatever they want to pursue may be fine in theory, but it won't translate well in the end.

So, I guess the technology is starting to show up in even basic jobs like lawncare. I imagine some of that stuff is so high priced it's tough for regular to buy, just like computers were back in the 80's and 90's.

Tech is already in most basic jobs out there as it is, this is just more supposedly sophisticated tech. Also tech starts out that way in most instances. Early adopters bare the brunt of the initial investment charges. Ironically, we are slipping backwards with regard to computer prices for the same reasons for all of these supposed tech advancements. Inevitable, all of those robots will be owned by the corporations that are rented out to people (already seeing it with other tech that we used to own outright and used to be able to easily repair outright, shoot companies even included schematics for the higher priced items and they are still around today, so it wasn't all that much of an issue like they are squealing about today). Always connected to the internet etc. We are actually slipping in terms of what we own when it comes to the tech that we have, even though traditionally we did own what we bought. Everything is a subscription (even Windows has an Enterprise version that plebs can get for a subscription (I imagine this is coming to a Home/Pro version near you soon)).

I imagine robots will fall under the same schema as computers, expensive -> cheaper -> back to expensive (typically when used for some other "advancement").
When I was a kid, I loved The Jetsons, I thought for sure when I was old the world would look like that. Guess it takes longer to progress than my little mind thought LOL
Yea, I remember how we were supposed to have flying cars and flying "skateboards" like in BttF II.
