Dotted lines in Flexi

Does anyone have a more dependable, predictable way to use the dotted line feature of the Fill/Stroke Editor?

I have tried adjusting the values there in that editor (line width and mitre limit... also, whats a mitre limit?) but neither seem to help anything. The length of dashes seem to be related to the size of the element you are applying it to, and not adjustable otherwise (?).

I must be doing something wrong, they wouldn't have left this like this, or?

Thanks,
John

I use it a lot. I usually create the object and apply the stroke, then I'll increase/decrease the size of the object with the Transform option unchecked until the size of the dashes look right. Then I check the transform option and resize the object to what ever size it should be.

I hope that made sense, it did to me. I posted a simple set of pictures that illustrate what I'm talking about.

Hey Thanks,

Your workaround makes very good sense. I just tried it and it worked very well. I try to do drawings that are borderline architectural in nature with Flexi because I am somewhat familiar with most of it's features and the dotted line thing has been giving me fits.

Thanks again,
John
