ECHOUSB Driver for HP 8000,9000 printers ?

Probably not the first to ask this question.

The Echousb driver for the HP8000 & 9000 printers only works with windows xp.

I once tried it with vista but it failed. I then tried it again with win 7 but it also wont work. I really want to upgrade my OS because i am finding xp to be quite unstable at the moment.

Does anyone know if there is a driver that will work on win7. Im using flexi rip by the way.
