When I try to print with the Zeronine spot gold foil, it skips and leaves lines unprinted. It sounds like it is jumping inside the printer. It is a refill ribbon that is in a Gerber carriage. Any ideas?

Poor compatibility between the foil and the vinyl. Your first option would be to see if it still skips using a Gerber/3M 220 vinyl as a test. I've had this happen with Duracoat printing on Oracal. Tested with a different color of Oracal and it printed fine and tested with Gerber foil on the vinyl that failed and it printed fine. You can also try increasing or decreasing the heat if your Flexi setup has such controls.
