I do have to wonder. Again, I'm worried for those that won't know how to muddle through things on their own (that's not everyone, but it is certainly a non trivial percentage and I'm willing to bet that it will kick into overdrive with "AI"). We have already seen reports that those that have really only known digital, especially in their formative years, have a less knowledge of how things work versus previous generations that just had to figure it out (article). What passes for "AI" is just going to make that happen even faster. I certainly don't like the idea of it also being in the class room. People need to learn the underpinnings before they learn the abstraction. Unfortunately, also pulling from that same pool of knowledge with teachers as well.

The main article at the top is even worse, if true. We already have socially stunted kids coming into the world (again not everyone, just going off of percentages), it can easily happen. The other downside is that we are seeing a more closed ecosystem, not only within our computers, but within the tools that we use. It makes it easier to argue safety and having things locked down if the newer generations don't really have the experience with more modular systems.
