eps export in corel

we use corel x3, and when we go to print we export the file as an eps file and then open it in onyx to RIP

one thing i have noticed lately is if there are gradient fills in the text, when it opens in onyx, the gradient color is gone and is just a solid color

anyone know if there is a setting some where we have missed, or if this is just a quirk in x3, exporting as a TIFF solves the problem, but ruins the contour cut idea

any help?

may have jumped the gun on this post, i just tried it as post script 3 and worked fine, post script 2 like we usually use is the problem
