eps in X3

We jsut recieved a disk from a client, that we are having trouble with.

We have illy 10 and corel X3.... this is an EPS file, when try to open it in illy, it says that it was created by a newer version and to resave it

now in the past i have gotten around this, but cannot remember how, i have imported into corel before bypassing this error, but when i am trying ti now it gives me an erro and then opens illy up and gives the other error yet again

is there anyway to open this file without spending 600 on CS2 which i am not fond of anyway?

Have the client re-export the file as Legacy Illustrator EPS

Place command

Open a new file in Illustrator and then to file / place, find the file and it will open in your older version.
