Epson 9700 problem

Since the first day the printer was fueled with dye ink. Now I switch to pigmented ink. OCP Germany is the manufacturer. I heard is a good one. The problem is I am loosing magenta and black while printing. Heavy. About 25%. After a while, if the printer sits idle some nozzles come back. Anyways, A normal cleaning cycle brig the nozzles back.

What can it be? Ink? Dampers? Printer is 1,5 year old, heavy use, Epson 9700 Pro.

I have had this problem before. You have to be careful what inks you mix together, some have a bad reaction when mixed together and become a bit thicker which blocks the dampers. I solved the problem by removing all the ink from the pipes and replacing the dampers. Hope this helps
